Job Description

Health Fitness Professional - South San Francisco, CA

Weekdays only! Full-time, 40 hours per week in Corporate Fitness

 

HealthFitness is looking for a Health Fitness Professional to join the team at our large client site located in South San Francisco, CA. In this role, you will make a direct impact on the health and well-being of our members through the coordination, implementation, and delivery of health and fitness improvement programs and services, fitness center promotions and outreach activities. You will provide personal training, monitor the fitness facility and conduct fitness testing and assessments, advising participants of the results and designing individualized programs to meet the member's interests, abilities and goals. You will manage the exercise floor, assist with member engagement & retention programs, and may complete administrative projects. Other duties as needed/assigned. Monday-Friday hours, 5AM-1:30PM OR 11:30AM-8:00PM.

What you’ll bring with you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Health Promotion, Kinesiology or related discipline OR 2+ years of fitness and wellness industry experience along with Personal Training certification from an industry recognized and HealthFitness approved provider (For recent grads who are not certified, Personal Training cert required within 90 days of hire).
  • Current Adult First Aid and CPR/AED certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others.
  • Ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including at minimum Word, Excel and Outlook.

Compensation: $22-24/hour + generous commission on personal training. Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications.
