Job Description
If you are a passionate fitness professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career, please introduce yourself to our team! We are seeking a talented Fitness Program Coordinator to support our corporate client site in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (PA).

40 hours/week, M-F, flexible between the hours of 6:30a-7p

*Site located in center city Philadelphia, close to the Schuylkill River. Easily walkable and accessible via public transportation.
 

What to expect:

Put your creative talents to use in the following impactful ways:

  • Develop, plan, coordinate, market and deliver motivational health and fitness programs and events.
  • Manage program delivery process, ensuring staff are properly trained, monitor quality, gather program outcomes data and measure results.
  • Instruct group exercise classes, oversee the group exercise schedule; conducts fitness tests, exercise prescriptions, and orientations.
  • Fitness floor coverage and facility oversight.
  • Mentor the next generation of fitness professionals through the oversite of the site's internship program.
  • Provide Personal Training sessions (if certified).
  • Other duties as-needed/assigned.

What you bring with you:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Exercise Science, Health Promotion, Kinesiology or related discipline and 1+ years related experience.
  • Current Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute. Note: certification must have an in-person component and not 100% online/OSHA compliant.
  • Industry recognized Group Exercise certification from ACE, AFAA/NASM, ACSM, NETA or NCCPT.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading, coordinating and delivering effective programs including budgeting, marketing and promotions.
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including at minimum Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with enthusiasm, initiative and creativity.
  • Proficiency in fitness assessment and exercise prescription if applicable.
  • Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.

 

Compensation: $24-$26/hr. Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications. Additional commission opportunities available for someone with a Personal Training certification from an industry recognized and HealthFitness approved provider.
