Position Overview: As a Full-Time CrossFit Coach, you will play a pivotal role in bringing our mission to life. This multifaceted position involves coaching, community engagement, administrative responsibilities, and a commitment to continuous learning.
Responsibilities:
Coaching (20 hours per week):
- Lead CrossFit classes enthusiastically, providing expert guidance on movements, techniques, and scaling options.
- Conduct classes during varied time slots, including early mornings, nights, and weekends.
- Participate in a minimum of three classes per week as a participant to stay connected with the member experience.
Community Engagement:
- Utilize our workout tracking app to engage with members, provide feedback, and foster a sense of community.
- Actively participate in community events, competitions, and social gatherings to strengthen member connections.
Gym Maintenance:
- Dedicate at least five hours per week to cleaning and maintaining the gym space, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
Client Onboarding:
- Assist in onboarding new clients, introducing them to gym policies, facilities, and the CrossFit methodology.
- Provide a welcoming and informative orientation to help new members integrate into the community.
Retention Initiatives:
- Lead initiatives aimed at member retention, such as organizing challenges, in-house competitions setting and tracking goals, and fostering a positive training atmosphere.
Program Testing:
- Collaborate with the programming team to test and provide feedback on workout programs, ensuring they align with our mission and effectively challenge our members.
Continuing Education:
- Pursue at least one continuing education certificate per year, with the gym covering associated costs.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new coaching methodologies, and fitness innovations.
Professionalism:
- Maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions with members, colleagues, and the broader community.
- Always uphold and embody the values and mission of the gym.
Qualifications:
- CrossFit Level 1 Certification (Level 2 preferred).
- Previous coaching experience in a CrossFit or similar functional fitness setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A passion for community building and creating a positive training environment.
- Proven ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, and weekends.
