Coalition Strength & Conditioning is dedicated to empowering individuals through the utilization of evidence-informed research, practical application expertise, and a commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment. Our facility offers a range of programs and services, including group classes, barbell clubs, and personal training.
We are seeking an experienced Barbell Club Coach to join our team at Coalition. You will be responsible for providing instruction, guidance, and programming in Olympic weightlifting. You will work closely with individuals of various fitness levels to help improve their technique, strength, and performance at the level they present. You will also be given priority and resources for growing your individual personal training clientele should that be of interest.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and instruct barbell club classes 3x/week, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
- Teach proper technique and form for Olympic weightlifting and powerlifting exercises.
- Develop and maintain barbell club programming, integrating it into our PushPress software.
- Conduct assessments and provide ongoing feedback to members on their progress.
- Motivate and inspire members to explore their limits and achieve their respective goals.
- Assist in the development and implementation of our social media platform, special events, workshops, and competitions the gym hosts.
- Lead individual sessions with personal training clientele tailoring the program to suit the client’s goals while providing feedback to address their postural dysfunctions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, research, and techniques in the strength & conditioning field.
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to maintain a cohesive and efficient operation within the facility.
- Contribute to the growth and development of the gym and barbell club by actively promoting memberships, events, and programs within our community.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience coaching Olympic weightlifting.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience programming for Olympic weightlifting.
- Strong understanding of how to progress and regress Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, and traditional strength & conditioning exercises.
- Proficient at coaching individuals of various fitness levels and adapting workouts to meet individual needs.
- Possess relevant certifications such as USA Weightlifting (USAW), National Strength & Conditioning (NSCA), or similar.
- Prioritizes communication and demonstrates appropriate interpersonal and conflict-resolution skillsets.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive training environment for all members in the gym.
Benefits:
- $52.50-$82.50 per 1.5 hour class (Based on experience). Up to 3 classes per week.
- $100 per month for programming.
