Body Performance is a women’s only small group training programming offering
strength and circuit training classes. We are women-owned and women-coached. Our focus is on helping women build a strong and resilient body through strength training in a welcoming environment. We help foster a healthy relationship with exercise, movement, nutrition and community to encourage an active, well-rounded lifestyle as we age.
 
Position Summary:
Provides group fitness instruction through a variety of educational, purposeful, and engaging classes promoting fitness and positive self-esteem. The Group Fitness Instructor and Body Performance Coach is passionate about helping clients reach their goals through group training programs, modifiable to individuals’ needs.
 
The Group Fitness Instructor and Body Performance Coach maintains positive
relationships with our clients to educate, motivate, and promote a healthy way of life by delivering quality group fitness training programs, and executing Body Performance programming.
 
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Educates clients on correct form and modifications, progressions and regressions, during the class
• Follows Body Performance programing during classes, modifying as appropriate
• Develops positive relationships with clients by teaching a variety of appropriately challenging and entertaining group classes
• Attentively listens to clients, answers questions, and engages in conversations
before and after class
• Cleans and organizes the group room and/or facility spaces used after classes
• Uses music for each class that entertains and motivates and keeping language
appropriate
 
 
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 3+ years of personal training and/or group fitness instruction
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with clients who have inquiries about Body Performance, Good Bodies, and the business offerings
• Ability to perform physical activity including, standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, sitting, stooping, keeling, and crouching.
• Ability to lift more than 20lbs
• CPR/AED certified
• Minimum of one of the following: NASM, ACE, AFAA, NSCA or similar group fitness and/or personal training certification.
